"FIONA" The newest addition to the ENARMOUR Etsy Store

The not-so-new new year is in full swing and for the past few months ENARMOUR has been on an unofficial hiatus. The behind the scenes work never stops but I felt it necessary to release an official update on the progress of the company and an outlook on 2016.

My adventure abroad continues and for the next few months I will continue my stay in FNQ, followed by a road trip to the south of the country which will culminate my stint in Australia. No dates have yet been finalized but I'm anticipating being back in Canada some time late summer. Upon my return back home I will be able to immerse myself 110% in ENARMOUR but for now it's baby steps.

This trip has been an incessant source of inspiration - from the immaculate landscape of the tropical rainforests and the expansive countryside of the far north, to the unique architectural customs of Queensland and its fascinating critters. Being surrounded by so much natural beauty is overwhelming, in the best possible way. The lines of the landscapes, the colours of the sunsets, the patterns on the tree branches continue to fuel my creative drive and for the next few months I will be imbibing as much as possible the culture and the landscape of this beautiful land.

Aside from a few experimental designs and a handful of fresh pieces, 2016 will not see the release of a comprehensive new collection. I will continue to explore different techniques, try new materials and overall expand my technical and creative repertoire so stay tuned for the occasional new release on ETSY, but for the most part, 2016 will be a year enveloped by an alluring gauze of secrecy and free-spirited self-exploration.

All my love,

The ENARMOUR Feature

Another milestone was reached this week as ENARMOUR had its first blog feature! It is an exciting first and as such deserves a very honourable mention. I did an interview with Raquel Manuela of where I went in depth about where ENARMOUR got its roots, what drives my creative spirit and why handmade is so important. It was an honour to be featured in her “Maker” series along with so many other talented artists and craftsmen.

The ENARMOUR Blog is now live!

Welcome to and to the ENARMOUR Blog!

The website has now been live for a few days and I am so excited to finally be able to share this project with the world.

Like most handmade business projects, ENARMOUR started as a hobby of making unique jewelry pieces for myself. It began with a beautiful silver cross pendant inlaid with faceted garnets that I inherited from my aunt. We had very similar tastes and an admiration for unique statement jewelry so when she passed away I inherited the bulk of her jewelry collection. Wanting to find a special chain for the pendant I started playing around with my jewelry scraps and came up with my first body chain. The process of connecting the chains and creating a draping over the body was so organic that I knew something special was afoot.

Constantly creating new designs is my driving force. All the pieces I create are unique, making every body chain truly special. Even similar styles are never exactly alike. They may differ in chain color, material, stone accent, or any other number of details, but each new item will forever be one of a kind. Having said that, the collection currently on the website isn’t so much a static “collection” as it is a representation of the items I’ve created so far. It’s a testament to my evolving style and influence. With new items created almost daily, I'm constantly learning and growing with ENARMOUR.
